"Just raise your energy" is a phrase that's becoming more common in a shifting paradigm of horsemanship. The idea of using energy is sometimes easier to relate to as a concept than a feeling - while everyone is born with the capacity to communicate and act with their personal energy, everyone's working awareness of energy is unique.
Horses are always "listening" first to the reality of the energy in their space. They often feel us before we are clear about what we feel within ourselves. When we begin to prioritize awareness of our own energy and how we're using it, we can become more clear for our horses.
