Recommended Trainers Mark is often asked if he can guide people to a trainer in their area. Following are a few people that he recommends:
Kathleen Lindley Kathleen has worked with Mark as a student since 1996, and spent 2005 and 2006 traveling with Mark as his full-time assistant. Kathleen has shown hunters and jumpers since she was a child, something she still does in between clinics. Kathleen's first book, "In the Company of Horses: A Year on the Road with Horseman Mark Rashid" was released in 2006. Starting in 2007, Kathleen will be on the road conducting horsemanship clinics. Trisha Wren
Trisha was Mark's first apprentice during 2001/2002. She has recently relocated from Scotland to New Zealand. She holds clinics in New Zealand, Australia and the UK. Trisha Wren Kyya Grant Kyya Grant grew up in eastern Washington State where she spent her childhood exploring the countryside (and local golf courses) with her mare. She showed both English and western, did 4-H and later graduated Washington State University with a degree in Animal Science. Kyya began working with Mark Rashid in 2000 and became a student teacher in 2004. Kyya and her husband Don now live on their family farm in Othello , Washington , where she breeds Tennessee Walking Horses and trains horses of all breeds and disciplines. She holds a second-degree black belt in Shudokan Karate and also studies Qi Jong, the ancient art of movement, breathing and meditation. Kyya takes horses in for training, teaches lessons at her farm or away, and can travel to do lessons or clinics.
